Barbara is a Commercial Account Analyst, handling a variety of accounts including oil and gas, manufacturing, and contracting. Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Political Science from Texas A&M University in 1979, she obtained her insurance license and began her career at a commercial agency in Dallas. Over the next decades she handled accounts as diverse as oil and gas drilling in Siberia, a major highway contractor, and the Dallas Ballet. In 2000, she moved to Houston and joined Insurepointe of Texas. In 2005, she became Insurepointe’s first account analyst at our Hill Country office.
She lives in Austin, Tx.
When not working, Barbara enjoys cooking, gardening, DIY projects, and spending time with the three-generation family that makes up her home, including her husband Roland, a retired Houston librarian and college history professor, her father-in-law, a funny and tireless WWII veteran, and her loving and opinionated adopted teenaged son. She is also a published fiction writer, a PTA board member, and alpha mom to a rescued mixed-breed poodle who loves ping-pong balls and cheese.
