James has worked as a Commercial Account Manager for Insurepointe of Texas, Inc. since January 2025. James grew up in South Houston, TX, graduating from Pasadena High School prior to attending Dartmouth College in New England.
Upon graduating from Dartmouth with a degree in English Literature, James worked as a regional intelligence security analyst covering Latin America, providing security analysis for corporate travelers. Over time, he transitioned from serving as an analyst to working as a client relations manager. This, in turn, led to him working for UnitedHealth Group as an account manager and gradually shifting his concentration to working in the insurance sector, primarily within the field of employee benefits. Increasing his focus on commercial insurance, James then worked for an agency primarily handling commercial transportation/trucking insurance just prior to joining Insurepointe.
James spends his free time listening to and chasing down vinyl records, watching old noir and French films as well as cooking. His favorite things to prepare include the Mexican dishes learned from his family, but he also has a keen interest in French and Indian dishes. He also enjoys going on long walks with his dog, Leo, as well as chasing down estate sales in Southwest Houston.
